2014 United Nations Jazz Issue

The United Nations continues to offer many advantages to collectors.

The stamps go back to just 1951 and are very affordable, the printing quality is of the highest quality, and over the years the U.N. Postal Administration has turned to universally popular themes that are still in keeping with the mission of the U.N. In the early days all stamps were issued in U.S. dollars, but today there are issues in U.S. dollars for use out of U.N. New York headquarters, Euros for use out of the Vienna, Austria, headquarters and in Swiss francs for use out of the Geneva, Switzerland headquarters.

On April 30 the U.N. Postal Administration (UNPA) issued three mini-sheets of twelve stamps each and a souvenir card to celebrate International Jazz Day. The stamps are denominated in U.S. 49ยข (for use out of U.N. New York headquarters), .70 Euro (out of Vienna), and 1 Swiss franc (out of Geneva).
